We have over thirty years of experience catering for private events from parties to weddings and have even catered the weddings of England rugby players Ben Cohen and Steve Thompson.
For the last seven years we have been selling delicious pork rolls at the Northampton Saints Rugby Club. We've had plenty of time to perfect our pig roasts. The tender juicy award winning pork falls apart in your mouth and when served with our stuffing made to a secret family recipe and our homemade bread, crackling and apple sauce, the results are simply mouthwatering.
From the success of our catering van we have recently established Sauls Events Catering and have added a further trailer in order to satisfy our existing contracts and tender for new business. We aim to provide catering that is more than your average burger or hot dog. All our products are homemade, delicious and aimed at a more discerning customer. About Sauls Events Catering

We are able to serve an average of 500 people per hour from our two man two station trailer, thus allowing friendly and efficient service throughout the day.

We currently have two trailers available for events with onsite cooking capabilities.

We usually sell hot roast pork baps with stuffing, apple sauce, and crackling and our own home made lamb broth. We are not limited to this though and can supply breakfast baguettes, home made burgers, sausages and any carvery combination.

Our staff are enthusiastic, reliable and well trained and we have a number of very experienced staff who have been with us for many years.

We have been awarded five stars for our food safety and hygiene and we have all our health and safety and HACCP documents and procedures in place.

All our products are homemade, from our bread rolls to our apple sauce. The crackling, which is many people’s favourite bit, is prepared separately and served as an accompaniment that people can help themselves to.

We use mainly the shoulder and legs of pork and it is cooked for approximately six hours in its own juices so it remains tender but very lean. We have found that cooking the pork this way makes it much tastier than cooking whole pigs and there is very little waste – we don’t like to leave a lot of rubbish behind us! It also makes it much easier to transport and very quick to serve as the pork is so tender it falls apart.

Our homemade stuffing is made to an old family recipe. It is a meat based stuffing with sage and onion – so much tastier than your regular paxo!

For local events we use bread rolls made by our onsite baker. All our soft white rolls are freshly prepared for each event.

We make a very hearty lamb broth too, served with our homemade garlic bread – it’s a meal in itself and like our pork rolls has gathered it’s own fan club!

If called for, we can provide sausages, burgers or any other carvery option. The trailers are fitted with bain maries for keeping the pork at the right temperature but these can transform into hotplates for cooking, well, anything really! As you might expect, we make all our own burgers and sausages and have won several prizes for our barbecue foods.
